Oh my, couldnt believe i have joined the " Westerners' cluster ". It comes with a good thing: taking cab is less of a pain now. Yeah.

The stage is set, the end is near.

I have officially departed a uniquely endearing, nurturing place after about half a year of commitment. To sum up my job scopes, from which i gained valuable experience, here they are:

-dealing with quotations from external suppliers and vendors
-collating labour-related information, including daily/weekly manpower reports from on-going projects , monitoring usage of labour and man-hours, hence, justifying labour supply invoices
-creating the Company Operation Procedure for the Project Control Department

Of all people, I must thank u, Jia Hao,  for understanding my unique situation from the very beginning. And equally grateful, thank u Uncle for giving me this opportunity to grow substantially.

I still have several plans that need to be settled. Will get them done one by one before university commences in August. Come to think of it, time flies, even without wings.

Here's an interesting anecdote told as follows:

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quietened down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.


Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less

The donkey later came back and bit the **** out of the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected, and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON

When you do something wrong and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you.

It's hard to say goodbye to an endearing place like CE. But i think most probably i'll be leaving after this month, in preparation for uni. Well, in some sense, I want to give myself a break from the corporate world. I'm quite sure i'll be able to appreciate the opportunities to pursue the course i have developed a liking for even more.

Life has been too mundane for the past 2 weeks...and it's frustrating when the mailbox is either empty or filled with bills and junk mails...it's equally irritating when it's shown Error in the Joint Acceptance page....

BUT BUT BUT a delayed reply from unis also means that my hope for my 1st choice is still kept ALIVE...it could have been much more horrible... the current state just means I am certainly on waiting list! Yea man, waiting means a non-zero chance!

OMG, I have heard and seen ppl getting Letter Of Acceptance from at least 1 of the 3 varsities alr. But no calls, no emails, no postages for me. I know it's pointless to call for a rant but just to express my current emotions.
For ppl sharing the same sentiments, i'm with u.

Btw, anybody watched S-factor yesterday [ the 3rd episode ]?  I was absolutely disappointed by the way the featured girls think and speak, seriously. Throughout the entire 30-min episode, they merely showed immaturity in thoughts and actions. Almost all of them found it extremely tough to form a logical argument, failed to cite concrete examples and resorted to personal attacks. I'm sorry if u are offended by my views but i dislike Sonia n Xue Sha, totally bimbotic and intellectually unattractive. I was utterly disgusted with all the cat fights, vulgarities and obscenities.

Well, on a lighter notes, my fav contestants so far, in no order of preferrence: Holly, Micheale, Kay Kay. LOL. Stay tuned and see the drama unfolds.

If it's shown " Error " it means the school, with the corresponding Application Number, has not offered u a place yet. YET.
This exercise ends in June so there's still a plenty of time for your application to be considered and accepted.
Probably i'll check it daily. xD

I discovered this quirky fact: I am allergic to wine, be it red wine, white wine, or even wine added in cocktail. Seriously, a couple of hours after drinking, rashes would start to appear all over my palms, arms, etc n they get heaty and itchy! Gosh, i would just want my skin to be stripped off.
Talking about cocktail, I had it the first time in the pub at Timbre at Clarke Quay on saturday while watching Liverpool thrashing Blackburn Rover 4 to nothing. I ordered Kir Royale, while others set their minds on Berlini, Sex on the Beach, Screaming Orgasm, Blowjob etc. LOL, now all would fancy cocktails eh? xD

And I let my emotions run wild in the pub, especially when ManU appeared to underperform and allow Sunderland players to dash into space intermittenly made by the Devil's line of defence to put the latter's net in danger. I couldnt keep silent so after the 1st match a bunch of us decided to make our way to Devil's club pub just nearby. To my utmost euphoria, the ambience and atmosphere was awesome. Hardcore ManU fans keep singing as they have song[s] for every players. I distinctly remember the whole pub roared when Mecheda scored the winner after coming off the bench. " We never die, we never die...", the phrase kept reverberating even after we left.

There are TWO Mediacorp artists that I have always been in love with. One is Wong Li Lin, the other is Rebecca Lim. I already mentioned the former, it's time to shine the spotlight on Rebecca Lim - the prettiest, cutest, funniest and most mind-blowing actress in the entire Singapore media and film industry, to my knowledge. Sorry I have to disappoint fans of Fiona Xie here eventhough i agree she is cute too.

I love Rebecca Lim since her role in the TV series " En bloc " and one of the " Come home to 5 " video clips. How adorable! And wait, I'm not overly obsessed with her body or anything along that line, eventhough she's the 2005 Miss Singapore runner-up, I love her because i think she doesnt belong to the commonly overdone, overadvertised type of actress. Her acting skill is good, she got substance, albeit still probably in the nurturing stage.

What's more exciting than watching Rebecca Lim being featured in the upcoming TV drama " Fighting Spider".  Catch her and see for yourself.

Ok, it's just a masquerade of enthusiasm. today's not eventful except for my unexpected discovery. Wong Li Lin has a blog. It's http://wonglilin.blogspot.com/ .She is hot, for ladies of her age. She sounds young and down-to-earth. She is pretty. Only 1 minus point i noticed, she sounded very unnatural in Unexpected Access, which had its finale shown last week.

By the way, everybody needs to watch this:

 I was called up to attend an interview by NBS. I went. It was more like a get-to-know-me kind of chatting session than an elimination round. At least that's how i felt. I hope I will receive the letter of offer to enroll in the NTU Accoutancy.

Let's not talk about Saturday. It was a day i dont want to remember. Ever. But fortunately, I had an awesome time celebrating Nicholas' birthday with his cell group and also at Lot One.

Sunday! It has been such a long time since the soccer guys last touched e ball and had a good time. Thank u Zhihan for taking the initiative to organise soccer outing. Keep it up man. I see u fit for the job, though anybody else can just take over if feel like itchy to have some ball actions. We [ Zhi Han, Jin Xian, Benjamin, Haobo, Shi Hao n I ] sweated it out at the usual cage at toapayoh. We were visibly tired after the 1st game. Wah, cant run and tackle sia, damn tired. Oh oh, I scored after a few attempts. It was a good goal. Chipped the ball over the keeper's head, totally beyond his reach as he was down on the ground after defending my 1st on-target shot. The goalie just looked on, helpless, as the ball found its way into the upper left corner of the goal post. YEAH! Then came another one when i decided to take a 2-inch-above-the ground shot from just over the half-court line. The keeper didnt have a moment to react as the ball found whizzed by the line of defence into the lower right corner of the goal post. YEAH! Not bad la hor. xD

After that we went for lunch at BK. As predicted, Topsy Turvy [ the new burger, ad vertised to deliver saucy top and crunchy bottom ] is just another marketing gimmick. Chit chatted about uni, army, girls [ a bit only] and DOTA [ lol i was totally lost ] while it was pouring outside. Fickering weather omg! 

3-2-1. That's e final score tally after 6 pool games, involving 3 challengers namely Son, Zhi Han and Hao Bo. Guess who scored e most le. Quite obvious la hor ppl. Who else can it be right or not. Haha, ok la ZH is unlucky n sucky today. So was i but i got e lady luck on my side. Haha.

That pretty much wrapped up my last weekend of March! Gosh, time flies. Wondering what I will be doing from 15 April, after ALL e guys get enlisted. : (
